Surroundings

The surroundings of Delft are quite varied. The town itself is of great interest, but other cities within the range of 30 km also known as the “randstad” are also well worth a visit. The railway station is just a stone’s throw from the apartment and a good starting point for making trips to:

• The Hague, Scheveningen beach, Kijkduin or Monster
• Rotterdam with its museums, shopping streets and the harbour
• Historic towns such as Dordrecht, Schiedam and Vlaardingen
• Picturesque villages near Delft; Delfgauw, Pijnacker, Schipluiden and Maasland
• Kinderdijk, with its beautiful windmills
• The Keukenhof, famous for its amazing flower fields
